ABOUT THE YOGA CO-OP

Classes at The Yoga Co-op are geared towards improving the overall health of body, mind and spirit while at the same time enhancing performance and concentration. Classes are designed to suit the needs of all levels of fitness and practice.The Yoga Co-op class intends to be fun and practical no matter what one's age or level of fitness. Smiling and laughter encouraged.


MEET THE INSTRUCTORS

The Yoga Gym at the North Dam Mill has now become the Yoga Co-Op and we offer a variety of classes in Yoga, Nia, Pilates, and Zumba. Come see what we are all about!

INSTRUCTORS:Teachers in the group are drawn from a variety of backgrounds and offer a mix of class styles


CARISSA BOLDUC has been a certified YogaFit® Instructor since 2001. She holds a Masters degree in Sport Psychology and brings to The Yoga Co-op over a decade of work experience in the fitness industry. Carissa's intention is to deliver a yoga class that is safe, effective, and user-friendly without expectations, judgment, or competition.

MORGAN SANBORN holds a BFA in Dance from Point Park University and currently dances with Portland Ballet. She is a certified Pilates Mat instructor through Pilates Academy International as well as a licensed Zumba instructor. Morgan orients her classes to suit each individual through her belief that everyone every age and every fitness level can benefit and everyone is welcome!

LISA ERICKSON-HARRIS was certified as a Yoga of Energy Flow teacher in 2008 and has been practicing yoga for more than fifteen years. Her preferred style of yoga is Vinyasa flow connecting breath and movement. Lisa is interested in the application of yoga to improve mental and physical health. She will be further certified as a yoga therapist in early 2011.

KELLY GILL is a licensed White Belt Nia instructor. She has been licensed and teaching in the southern Maine area for the past three years. Nia is best described as a dance class which incorporates the essence of the martial and healing arts and is practiced in bare feet. The music inspires creative movement, expression and lots of fun! It is very friendly to every "body" of all fitness levels. No past dance experience is needed. See more information at

MARY LYONS has been teaching Iyengar-based gentle and restorative yoga for 17 years, at a variety of Southern Maine studios and fitness centers. Her interest is in yoga for stress reduction and healing.

KERRIN PAGE is teaching a Yoga Flow and a stretch/core class at the Yoga Co-op. She has been practicing yoga for over 6 years in a variety of styles and is working towards her 200-hour teaching certification through YogaFit. She also teaches Rhythms QiYoga for Women and enjoys incorporating mind-body awareness into her life and yoga practices.

ELIZA PIERCE CYT, brings many years of personal experience with yoga, and a lifetime of sports into her teaching. Her teaching style is tailored to the students’ needs, incorporating a series of yoga postures intelligently sequenced and linked to the breath. Eliza brings the Eight Limbs of Yoga to light in a gentle but challenging practice for all levels from complete novices to experienced yogis. Her website is

PHYLISS MICUCCI-TIMMERMAN, CYT, has been practicing yoga for more than 10 years and received her teaching certification in 2004. Her style is Iyengar-based, focusing on form and alignment. She teaches beginner to mixed level classes as well as Vinyasa flow, incorporating one's breath with one's movement. Her classes are open to all levels.

STEVE HAYES has been involved with yoga for over thirty years and in a committed practice for the past five. His intention is to provide a yoga class focused on flexibility, strength, concentration, awareness and relaxation, which is accessible to all levels of students. He is pursueing his 200hour certification through YogaFit
